sez who

The Shakespeare Sez team is far-flung and decidedly international, collaborating across oceans and time zones. Not always easy.

Myrna Saturn Gatty (Founder Co-Creator)
draws on the creativity of her long career in the arts. A native New Yorker – but long time resident of the Carolinas – she is renowned for producing bold and off-beat, programming. Her imaginative marketing/ media/development campaigns featured such luminaries as Charlton Heston, Celeste Holm, Peter Ustinov, Dizzy Gillespie and Marian Wright Edelman when Myrna led the campaign for the hometown library built to honor Edelman, America’s beloved child advocate. Myrna served as Director of Performing Arts at the SC Arts Commission, President/Executive Director of the NC Dance Theatre and as a panelist and site reviewer for the National Endowment for the Arts.

Trevor Gatty, O.B.E. (Resident Historian and Curmudgeon)
Queen Elizabeth II originally commissioned Trevor Gatty to serve as her Vice-Consul in the Congo. Throughout Trevor’s foreign-service career, he lived and worked in more than 65 countries; received Her Majesty’s prestigious Officer of the Order of the British Empire and served in Atlanta as Her Majesty’s Consul General for the Southeastern US. He later held the position of Protocol Advisor to the Atlanta Olympic Games. He has provided training on cross-cultural communication, protocol and etiquette and has written the handbook Avoiding Flubs, Foibles, Faux Pas and F***Ups in the Global Marketplace.

Daniel Rodriguez, (Co-creator), graphic/web designer, idea guy.
(Photographics NYC) Daniel’s NYC studio was transported “across the pond” when he followed his heart, first to Belfast, Northern Ireland and then Dublin, Ireland where he now resides with his Irish wife and two young sons, Zachary and Rocco. He provides his elegant, eclectic design to diverse clients on both sides of the Atlantic including a continuing association with long-standing partner (and Shakespeare Sez illustrator) Peggy Walz Design Studio in NYC. His work has been found in a wide range of places, incl: Chelsea Bicycles, NYC; Queen’s Film Theatre – Northern Ireland’s only independent cinema; Northern Ireland’s Jews Schmooze Festival. Wide Angle at PBS-TV; Trans Global Consultants and the Marian Wright Edelman Library campaign.

Peggy Walz, artist/illustrator
(Peggy Walz Designs) creates art from her studio on NYC’s vibrant, Upper West Side. Her home designs are filled with wit, whimsy and nostalgia and have been found in Tiffany’s, Harrods, Neiman Marcus, on the Orient Express and even in an Ang Lee film. Always on board with a new project, Peggy’s current ventures include a distinctive line of personalized caricature and fashion greeting and business cards, a line of stationery and fabulous customized Chef Coats.

Michael Amy Cira –- Editor
This former bi-coastal actress, writer, producer, director editor, yoga guru, divided her time between Los Angeles and New York City. Her studio is now in Charlotte where she lives with her husband and daughter, Tallulah Rose. We can count on Michael to bring her red editor’s pencil and vast creative experiences to Shakespeare Sez
